No-pull Y dog harness: comfort and control
The Goofy Goldens no-pull Y harness is the ideal kit for walking your dog with peace of mind, with no jerking or strain on the neck. Its ergonomic Y design leaves the shoulders and windpipe completely free, for total freedom of movement and full respect for your dog's build. With two attachment points (on the chest to discourage pulling and on the back for relaxed walking), it's easy to adjust thanks to its multiple adjustment points. Made from durable, breathable materials with original, colourful patterns, it suits every dog, from puppies to large breeds.
Comfort Y harness for dogs: our best-seller
The Comfort Y harness is our best-selling model, for a simple reason: its Y shape at the chest spreads pressure across the torso without ever restricting the shoulders, unlike some classic harnesses that can hamper the movement of the front legs. Combined with a no-pull attachment, it's the format we recommend first for everyday use. (For a broader harness vs collar comparison, see our dog harness guide.)
Why the Y shape in particular
A classic harness with a single strap across the chest can slightly limit shoulder movement in some dogs, especially broad-chested breeds. The Y design places the contact points so the shoulder joint can move freely, while keeping the front no-pull attachment that discourages pulling on the lead. That's what makes it a good balance between joint comfort and training effectiveness, both for a puppy who's learning and for an adult dog that still pulls.

How to fit a Comfort Y harness properly
Measure your dog's chest at its widest point, then check the size chart on each product page. Once it's on, you should be able to slide two fingers between the harness and your dog's body, and no more: not too tight, and no slack that would let the harness slip. For a more detailed fitting guide, see our page explaining how to adjust the harness.
FAQ
Does the Y shape suit broad-chested dogs? Yes, that's actually one of the main advantages of the Y design over a single-strap harness: it leaves more freedom around the shoulders.
Can a young puppy wear this harness? Yes, as long as you check the fit regularly, as puppies grow quickly, and move up a size as soon as needed.
Is a no-pull harness enough on its own to stop pulling? Its front attachment helps discourage pulling, but it's more effective combined with loose-lead training.
What's the difference with a classic back-clip harness? A back attachment suits a dog that already walks calmly on the lead. The front attachment of the Y harness is better suited to the training phase or to a dog that still pulls.
